awful, Adequate, or ADMIRABLE?

The ADMIRABLE things of the Lord Jesus Christ and those fully surrendered to Him. The potentially awful ways and consequences of those opposed to His authority. And the Adequate (after all, even the most successful lives consist at least partially of the mundane). Bible passages, stories, poems, pictures, reposts, and more ... it will all be here to contrast the best and worst, the most wonderful and most horrible. For God's glory and humankind's edification.

Watch for those verbs

Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
May we remember the intensity of those verbs when we have such choices to make. It seems at times Christians can have a ho-hum attitude at times when it comes to pursuing God and godly things, or fleeing those things He doesn't approve of. May His presence saturate our lives so that when we look at the world through His eyes, we'll see the good and the evil with the same joy and disgust as He does. And may we be SO thankful that when God looks at His children, He sees joy because of Christ in us, and not the abhorrent people we are outside of Jesus' blood.

Well said! It brings to mind Revelation 3:15-16, when Jesus is talking about his reaction to "lukewarm." I want to be HOT!

My favorite prayer is asking God to allow me to see things through His eyes. But be warned...this is not easy to handle.

"his reaction to 'lukewarm.' I want to be HOT!" Exactly! We should either be all in or all out when it comes to Christ. And yes, I think I want to see things through His eyes, but I would also need His grace to handle what He finds unpleasant.
